Distinctive and functional (Apple Mighty Mouse)
Member Name: alexhowel
Advantages: Stylish, multi-purpose, and brings new functionality to mouses Disadvantages: gets clogged sometimes, and buttons can be pressed by accident This is a rather distinctive looking mouse, but this is just a typical Apple design. With no visible mouse buttons, it does appear a little confusing as to how it actually works. But Apple has managed to somehow make it touch sensitive so that it works like a traditional mouse with two buttons. Actually, using the right click takes a little bit of getting used to because you have to lift your left finger whilst clicking on the right side of the mouse. The scroll wheel is another evolutionary step which I had not even thought of before I owned this mouse. Not only does the wheel allow you to scroll vertically, but it also lets you scroll horizontally also. Another feature is the side buttons which are very useful in OS X as they make the use of expose very useful and convenient. A couple of minor problems with the mouse is that sometime the scroll ball can get clogged with dirt and stop working, and I initially thought that this was permanent, but later discovered that if you flip the mouse upside-down and rub the scroll ball on a piece of paper it cleans the dirt out very effectively. Also sometimes the side buttons can be pressed by accident. Summary: A different yet highly functional mouse
