Advantages: Button features

Disadvantages: Scrolling Ball

I bought this mouse to use with my Macbook so that when i am at a desk i don't need to keep using the trackpad which can be uncomfortable at a desk. I have found it to be incredibly useful for a number of reasons.

First, although it says it has one button the mouse actually has four. A left click, right click, side click buttons and the scrolling ball. This makes it even better than most PC mouses (which was one of my worries with a mac) and makes working very easy

Not only does it have numerous buttons but they can all be customised to your needs. this means if you prefer the mouse without left and right clicks you can have it. This is a priceless feature that means i can tailor the mouse to whatever project i'm working on.

The only problem i have found with the mouse is that every so often the tracking ball will move but not scroll. Fortunately you get a years warranty so it can be repaired if it persists. i have spoke to one other person who had the same problem but it doesn't seem to happen in every case.
Battery life is good and if you have rechargeable then isn't a problem at all. My batteries lasted a whole year at uni with regular use.

The wireless connection is great and connects straight away once the mac is on. It is so good to not have to worry about pulling the wire out. Also the sensor on the bottom works on most surfaces and i have often used it on my leg when sat on a train or somewhere where i couldn't use the mouse.
The accuracy of the pointer is great and can be adjusted for its speed if you want. You can also change how quick you want a double click to work or set it to open files with single clicks.

Installation was also very easy. Just a case of turning on the mouse and switching on the bluetooth on your mac. Simple.

The mouse is quite expensive which may put people off. I don't know why this is but Apple products normally are quite expensive. you do get good quality though and warranty after. I think you do end up getting what you pay for and buyers will have to decide if they want to spend that kind of money on it.
