The Compaq Spaceball 4000 FLX was designed to minimize arm and wrist stress, surpassing all industry ergonomic standards, and features a revolutionary new adjustable wrist pad which can be converted for either right or left hand use, to ensure full ergonomic optimization. It offers 12 buttons ergonomically placed on both right and left sides of the device which eliminates the need to reach over the sensing mechanism. The Compaq Spaceball is driven by a new SpaceWare 99 software driver and graphical user interface that is simple to use and is fully customizable. It includes a number of new features including the ability to map 23 custom functions or short cuts to any Spaceball function buttons, customizable configurations to fit each users requirements, or even multiple task-based requirements per user, context sensitive GUI, automatic adjustment for either right or left hand use, eleven standard motion control modes and four adjustable sensitivity parameters to fit individual motion control preferences.
