Introduction

In the beginning of my review I must say that don't agree with previous opinion. Not sure that this person really had this mouse.
I have read some negative reviews of this product, but personally I really like it.

About

Just have a look at it. It's beautiful, nicely designed and stylish I would say. As name says it is optical mouse which uses a string of laser (red in this example) to move cursor around the screen. This type is much easier in maintenance. You won't have to remove cover to clean ball and other parts from everything what was on a table. Thanks this technology moving cursor is much more smooth and precise. Is very helpful when gaming or using complicated applications like in my example 3ds max.

Programmable buttons help when using many applications in the same time. New and unique multifunctional scroller (press or roll) wheel can control speaker volume as well as standard point and scroll features.
It is not a wireless mouse, but we need to remember how it was looking like 5-6 years ago. They were quite expensive and technology used in them was developing.
It is possible to change buttons settings from right to left handed people thank included drivers and software. That's a huge plus when thinking about accessibility.

I have big hands but could easily fit Optical 3000. Controlling experience was either very satisfying. Maybe will exaggerate but had impression that it has been made especially for me.
Heard different opinion about this blue light. Come on, I do not understand where the problem is. It makes this mouse look a little bit better. I found it very useful when watching movies at night or when going to kitchen for something, thanks this light I new exactly where it is.

Cord

In Creative Optical 3000 mouse is very thin and very flexible. In the same way stiff a bit. I had no problem with pulling cable all the time and so on. Believe that everyone had such a problem, was taping cable to desk. Moving mouse was very smooth, easy and comfortable.

Cable ends with a USB port. Creative attached to package an adaptor to mouse port PS2. Haven't used it but at least had such an option what counts. That time not every Computer had USB interface.
Cord is 2 meters long.

Altogether

This mouse has been supplied with optical sensor of 800 dpi which is absolutely fine enough for home or office use. Has 3 buttons.
Had this mouse for over 4 years and 7 months ago gave it to my parents. It is very durable and when in hand feels stable.
Its great not wireless mouse and that's what counts. I review it as a cord mouse, all good and bad points. To be honest I think that there are no weak points.
All upgrades and information's are available anytime on Creative website. Even thought they hand you a manual and what to do when something goes wrong.
Installation went quickly and smoothly. It is plug and play mouse but when want to program buttons need to install software. Also friendly and easy.
Great mouse. Can recommend it to everyone who doesn't mind to have great quality, optical mouse
