As you would expect from a reliable and well-established brand like HP, this HP USB mouse is easy to install, efficient, and does what you would expect.

In general a laser mouse is far more effective than a traditional ball-rolling mouse, the pointer travels far more smoothly across the screen and you don't have the same issues with dust or other dirt collecting in the roller. If you're looking for a new mouse I would definitely recommend investing in a laser variant.

Happily I can also recommend this particular HP USB Laser mouse. I ended up with it fairly randomly actually, as I wasn't really sure what I was looking for so allowed someone else to choose for me. It turns out that this was a great choice. It's affordable at only around 15 pounds, works like a dream, is easy to install, and seems to be durable.

I've been using this mouse for around 3 years now I think and it is showing no signs of getting tired or juddery on the screen. I do use a mouse pad but must admit that I've never cleaned the mouse, or done any maintenance at all on it, and yet it doesn't stick or show any signs of detioration. The rolling track on the top of the mouse is similarly unaffected by wear, even though I use this a lot, and have also not cleaned it in any way.

The actual shape of the mouse is fairly standard and fits my hand naturally, as I imagine it would most people's.

In a nutshell, it's just a convenient, reliable, workhouse of a mouse and I would highly recommend it for standard internet and computer use.
