Member Name: wonkybox
Advantages: Reliable and hardy with a cool little blue light mousewheel
Disadvantages: The silver paint comes off after very heavy use
We bought about ten of these mice for business use around three years ago. Not one has broken, and I use one now for everyday use and gaming.
It's a standard USB optic mouse, my bosses bought them because the mousewheel lights up a cool futuristic blue and they love that sort of thing, and I agree it does look cool in the gloom.
The leads for these mice are quite thin and I was worried about their strength to start with but none of them have snapped, even being put through stressful conditions like road and air transit.
You've got two buttons either side of the mousewheel, and the optic at the bottom of the mouse tracks the movements. That's all there is to it really, it's a mouse. For CAD purposes an optic mouse is invaluable and we have had a handful of people struggling to use them out of the hundreds of people we've trained.
After heavy use and perhaps being packed tightly in flight case foam the cool silver bit down the side of the mouse has started rubbing off and you can see the plastic underneath so we'll be replacing them quite soon, but they have all seen a lot of action and can go to mouse heaven or whatever in the knowledge of a job well done.
Summary: Exceeded my expectations
