I bought this mouse about 1 year ago, and I have loved it every second.
Looks: Not really important, but it looks nice
Comfortable: I have never had a mouse this comfortable.
Options: What I personally really like about the mouse is that you can change the weight of the mouse by adding little weights to it. This can be done to a max of 270 gram.
Software: The software that you get with the mouse is really nice. You can make several profiles which can be manually activated or be activated once you start a game. With these profiles you can change for example the DPI, or the buttons you want to use.
Mouse wheel: I really love the function that you can take the brake away on the mouse wheel so it gets really smooth. This is for example nice to have in mirror's edge.
Conclusion: For the price of 50 euro it's a really good mouse which has lots of functions, and possibillities. I still haven't noticed any disadvantages
I bought this mouse for gaming and it has made such a difference with my performance in games. It has 3 side buttons which have been extremely useful, they really make all the difference, and comes with weights that can be inserted into the mouse to make its weight feel right for you. It also has a braided cable around the rubber one which prevents wear and tear, as well as pesky pets!
The design is quite cool, not too big or bulky and it has a silver shell like pattern on top. I personally like it compared to other gaming mouses with jagged edges and 20 buttons in every spare area.
Possibly the best thing about this mouse is the adjustable dpi settings which you can change in a program that comes with it. It allows you to create profiles with different sensitivity levels for each game you play and there are two buttons on the mouse itself which let you change profiles quickly.
Overall this mouse is near perfect and gives you all the features of the most expensive gaming mice at a fraction of the cost.
This mouse is perfect in every way! It's comfortable, lots of helpful buttons, I love the hyper scroll, those weights helped A LOT, since I love a heavier mouse. The most important thing is: it's big. Fits in hand perfectly, and I love to feel the mouse, so I put some wights in it. Every. Single. Detail. is great.Couldn't be happier! Absolutely the best mouse for gaming-- ever! Compared to other mice in it's price range, it makes them look useless. Compared to other mice in it's features range, it beats them in price, far less expensive and has a quality of the most expensive mice.Overall: I recommend it to anyone who wants a gaming mouse, great features, quality and price. Also, a tip: use it in a combination with Steelseries Qck mouse pad.
The Logitech G500 is the replacement for the Logitech G5 gaming mouse. It has the same shell shape but includes some nice additional features.
You won't have to worry about sensitivity since the mouse can be adjusted on the fly from 200 to 5700 DPI. The mouse includes a customizable weight cartridge for a very personal touch.
I was an owner of the previous model and it had the "back" and "forward" buttons in a location where it was too easy to accidently hit them. Thankfully this issue has been resolved with the G500.
The really cool thing about this mouse is the hyper scroll feature. You can basically click a button which enabled the wheel to spin freely for super fast scrolling. It spins in the same way a skateboard wheel does... a very FAST and QUIET one.
The only thing I dislike about this mouse is the print design. I don't like the print they put on this one at all. It's kind of like those jeans you find in a nice department store that are made to look "aged". I absolutely loved the G5's black and cracked blue look but ultimately I chose to keep the G500 on board.
