When it comes to mousing, Logitech are the Daddies. Fact. My bin is full of original equipment mice, and my desktop littered with cordless Logitechs. The process is simple: you buy a computer, you throw the mouse in the bin/cupboard/whatever and you buy a Logitech to replace it. The LX8 features the usual Logitech feature set - i.e. 2d scroll wheel, and thumbable fwd/back buttons on the side. A top mounted LED alerts you to battery low conditions, and the whole thing just fits snugly in your (right) hand. I purchased this mouse purely for work. I work as a software developer so my mouse gets alot of use. I would also say that I'm in a position to give an expert review of a mouse! I was attracted to this mouse due to its ambedextrous design (as i use my left and right hands alternately), the make (Logitech are brilliant!), and its looks. Since getting the mouse I am 100% happy with it. Its very comfortable, even for prolonged periods of time, and the setpoint software you get with it is very useful and allows you to tweak its fucntionality to suit your needs. When I first decided to invest in a computer I weighed up the pros and cons of a tower and monitor or a laptop. At the time space was limited in my flat and I didn't really have the room for a desk so I opted for a laptop. After all I only really wanted a pc to dowlnoad photos from my digital camera and surf the net.
