Advantages: Cheap, accurate.

Disadvantages: None.

As much as I love using laptops for the convenience and portability of them, one thing that irritates me is the lack of a mouse! I find the trackpads to not be very reliable, especially when I am editing photos or something that requires precise movement of the curser. I therefore decided to look for a cheap mouse to use for these occasional tasks.

I didn't want a wireless mouse as I have owned one before and haven't been very impressed, the signal wasn't very constant, and the curser sometimes jumped from one side of the screen to the other. The other problem is having to replace batteries every few months, which gets tiresome after a while.

The M125 therefore seemed perfect. It is small, lightweight, is used via USB, but the really neat thing about it is that the USB cable actually retracts into the mouse itself! This saves space and reduces messy wires hanging around.

I purchased this mouse from Amazon 2 months ago for £15, and you can probably get it for a similar price, if not lower now.

The cable for the mouse comes in at 27 inches in length. This is just enough length for the cable to reach nicely around your laptop, without too much strain, and without excess cables lying around. The mouse itself has dimensions of 1.9 x 4.3 x 9 inches. Due to the fact that you don't need batteries for the mouse, it weighs only 6.4 ounces, which is really light for a mouse!

The mouse has three buttons and a scroll wheel in the centre. The scroll wheel is sometimes a bit tough to use for scrolling, it doesn't move as easily as other mice I have owned in the past. It is also quite tough to click the third button, which is the scroll wheel itself. This isn't a problem though as it actually prevents you from accidentally clicking whilst scrolling through. The other buttons work perfectly, not too stiff or too loose.

The mouse is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux computers. You don't have to install any software at all. You simply plug the mouse into the USB port and your computer automatically detects it and within about a minute it works!

The mouse is designed for ambidextrous people, which is a bonus, as I am right handed and my boyfriend is left handed, so we can both use it without any problems!

The mouse tracks very well too. It is very accurate and precise. If the computer has a LOT of processes running then it is sometimes a bit slower and choppier, but for normal day to day use, it is very good.

The cord is very easy to pull out, no problems at all with that, and once it has been pulled out, it stays out, and doesn't go shooting back in again! It also retracts very smoothly too back into the body of the mouse. Once it is retracted it is impossible to see, the cord is completely hidden.

I've even used this mouse without a mousepad and it's worked really well. I've used it whilst I've been relaxing on the sofa, and used it on the arm of the sofa, and it still tracked accurately and well!

All in all, this is a great mouse. It's is cheap but it works extremely well for the price you are paying. It would be great for travel, and it fits well into travel laptop bags. Really recommended.

Summary: Great, portable, light mouse.
