Advantages: Cheap, does a good job

Disadvantages: Some may prefer a wireless mouse

I needed a mouse for my computer at work as my other one had decided to die on me. I ended up with a Logitech M90 mouse. I am not particularly technical when it comes to computers and their accessories, but I was told by work to order a cheap and cheerful one that would do the job and this one seemed to fit the bill.

My first Impression of this mouse was that it was quite simple, basic and easy to use which is all I need from a mouse really. This mouse is black and simply comprises of the standard two buttons at the top of the mouse, with a scrolling wheel in between the two buttons. It is quite square at the top and rounded at the bottom. It glides easily over a mouse mat and I like the fact that it doesn't seem to get dirt trapped at the bottom of the mouse like some others I have used in the past have done. The dirt restricts the movement of the mouse and it doesn't work as well, but I haven't had that problem with this mouse.

Many of the newest mouses's nowadays are wireless, but this one isn't wireless and attaches to your computer via a standard USB. It is suitable for both right and left handed people and comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

The mouse is really lightweight and does feel quite cheap and flimsy, but I have been using it for quite a few months now at work and it is used on a daily basis and so far (touch wood!) I have had no problems with it whatsoever. The mouse has a decent length wire as it is a real bugbear of mine at work when the mouse doesn't reach as far around my desk as I want it too so I am restricted as to where I can place the mouse in relation to where the computer sits. I haven't had a problem with this mouse and it reaches around the majority of my desk so I can sit the mouse and the computer where I like without having restrictions.

The price was the main thing that first attracted me to this mouse as it is available on Amazon for just £4.05 which I think is a really good price. Yes, it isn't wireless and is quite basic, but then a mouse doesn't tend to do anything fancy anyway. My only wish list was that it worked and reached around my desk and this mouse does both those things.

The size of the mouse wasn't relevant to me, but for those of you who do need a specific size, the dimensions of this mouse are 8.7 x 4.2 x 13.2cm. It also has a movement resolution of 1000 dpi, and optical movement detection technology for those who take note of the technical information.

Overall, this mouse has been completely reliable, it works well and is as cheap as chips too so you can't go wrong with it really. Its lightweight, has a good sized lead and works smoothly and consistently without jumping or getting stuck. It may be cheap and cheerful and isn't wireless, but some friends at work use wireless mouses and have had no end of problems with them so I would rather stick to my cheap and cheerful mouse as it does the intended job well and at a fraction of the cost of a wireless mouse. Recommended.
