Advantages: Cheaper than the new model

Disadvantages: Likes strong batteries

The Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse is a simple device consisting of the usual right and left click buttons, a scroll wheel and a couple of configuration buttons - on/off and reset.

I now own two of these mice, both bought refurbished from Trusted Good via Amazon. The mouse was supplied with a travel pouch which keeps the mouse safe if you're using it with a laptop on the move. No Bluetooth receiver is supplied, I bought a cheap tiny on from Amazon at the same time.

On the back of the mouse is a red warning light for low batteries, this is useful, but the Logitech software tells me anyway. The software is downloaded from the Logitech website and serves most mice and keyboards from the Logitech range.

The mouse connects instantly and rarely drops the connection, if this does happen, it reconnects itself immediately. You can't use the mouse on any surface, it's happy with the sofa but struggles with the varnish floor in my lounge.

The click and scroll wheel are of a decent build quality, better than my previous Microsoft and hp mice.

The only issue I have found with the mouse and the reason I own two... I use a large amount of rechargeable batteries and it will not work correctly with my 1600 mAh AAs. This lead me to believe the mouse was actually faulty when it actually just requires high capacity batteries.

Other than this, it works perfectly. The batteries when fully charged last a decent amount of time - roughly a month of daily light use (1-2 hours).

Summary: Great bluetooth mouse, but needs beastly batteries
