Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse
Advantages: sleek design, quick to navigate with
Disadvantages: only has one arc setting
I always like to change my computer mouse regularly, as I find they get worn or I just get bored of them and find they don't keep as good as they were. I always like to buy Microsoft mice as I feel they are the best quality and they are always the most advanced in terms of design. I prefer to use a wireless mouse as I find nothing more annoying than the cable getting in the way of me using my laptop and that is why this Microsoft Arc mouse looked like the right mouse for me.
This mouse is very sleek looking in design and it does look futuristic, it comes in a number of colours but I opted for classic black. It has a shiny front and a rubber body and on the top is a light and a silver button. The mouse is smaller than your average mouse and measures at 22 x 16 x 7.5cm and it weighs 227g which isn't bad at all. It has a nice look overall and I was very pleased with it, if it runs out of battery it does need 2 x AAA batteries to keep going but these should last you a goo while.
MICROSOFT ARC MOUSE
What I have found with using this mouse is that it is really quick to move around. It goes flat when you turn it off and when you arc it, it goes on and a green light shows. The one thing I noticed right away which I was disappointed with is that the mouse has only one arc position whereas I thought it'd be movable and bendy so that you could mould it to fit your wrist. Luckily for me, this does fit my wrist well on the one arc setting it has but I suppose some may find this annoying if it doesn't.
The mouse comes with a pouch to pack it in and it comes with a wireless receiver which goes into your laptop to make sure it works well. I found the mouse really easy to set up and it is a lot lighter and smaller than other mice. The mouse vibrates when it goes on so that the user knows it is up an running, it isn't too loud and I find it useful so that I know it is working. To scroll, there is a middle button which you tap twice to get it to activate scrolling, it is simple enough to use as well.
It is comfortable to use this mouse when using the computer and it is also easy to grip. I noticed on Amazon some complaints on this rocking a bit when using it but you do have to ensure you use this on a flat surface, preferably with a mouse mat to stop that happening. I like the fact that when you want to pack this away that it does go flat as it does make it take up less room and it is different from other mice that it can do this. I do think this mouse is great but can see why others may not.
If you want to adjust this to fit your grip you may find this a bit misleading in how it is sold. I find the mouse very easy to use and I do like having it, you can click it easily and although it isn't as thick as other mice, it works just the same. It is more for those who like a gadget and want a mouse that looks a lot more streamlined than your average plug in mouse. It is quite a fancy one but if you want to try something a bit different and like the latest things, then give this one a go.
Amazon.co.uk are currently selling this for £30 which does seem expensive for a mouse but it is a lot fancier than others. This price is for an Amazon seller but to get free postage and buy direct from Amazon then this is £36.20 but try eBay also.
