This is not my mouse at home but only on my work PC. I have been using this in my new job and it is alright for a basic mouse but of course being the basic model it does lack a lot of the things that the higher end models have. I am not really one for using a mouse a lot as I work on my laptop normally but at work I have to be on a PC so a mouse is essential. I think if you get any basic mouse then this Microsoft model is definitely the best to opt for as it is from a reliable and well known brand. APPEARANCE Now, there is not a lot to describe on its appearance but I have got the black version of this as it fits in with my overall computer. The mouse has a scroll bar in the middle and then has a right and left click and that is all it has being the basic. The mouse has a red light underneath which is how you know it is working and is on and if you lift it up it will show. It has a cable with it and it attaches by USB as most mice seem to connect. THE MOUSE Now, I am a designer so it is essential that my mouse moves around with ease and that is one thing I ill give it. It doesn't stick much and it does move around when I do, there have only been a few occasions where it doesn't move as quickly and if you leave it stationery sometimes the mouse shakes a bit. It has right and left hand click but I am right handed so clicking left always works perfectly for me and it navigates right away to where I need to. On the odd time when I am working on quite lengthy pages I do use the scroll button in the middle which scrolls up and down the page making it easy rather than having to click the up and down arrows on the page. It never has any connection issues which is good and in terms of it working I literally plugged it into my CPU and then it showed the red light and instantly the cursor started moving in time with the mouse movement which is great. This mouse also works well without a mouse mat underneath and in terms of comfort I found it very good. I know that the pricier mouse does seem more comfy to hold but this one isn't too bad it doesn't mould as much into my hand as others I've used but it does seem to make it comfortable for my hand to rest on. The mouse works on optical technology which is much better and faster to work with. The mouse in an overall opinion is a great mouse if you don't want to spend too much on a mouse. It is stylish to look at, fast to work with and easy to click around ensuring the buttons never stick. It has 3 buttons which is enough to use as anymore just gives too much possibility and the cable is long enough to stretch it around a lot more. I think anyone in need of a simple mouse should buy this model as it will have a good time length on it. COST This mouse on Amazon is valued at £11.97 by a seller and it has an RRP of £14.99 but if you buy it directly from Amazon then it is £12.19. PC World are selling this mouse for £9 which isn't too bad and you can also get it from eBay on offer as well. In terms of price I do feel at £14.99 it isn't really worth this as you can pay a couple of pound more for better but with Argos selling it at £9.95 it seems a bit better and they also do it in burgundy, lilac and pink as well as black at cheaper costs. If you want more information on this mouse then you can go to :http://www.microsoft.com/uk/ and look at the hardware section. The mouse is 259g in weight and is 1 x 1 x 1cm and is compatible with most recent operating systems.
Experience the convenience of optical technology at a great value. Replace that old-fashioned "roller ball" with a mouse that works on virtually any surface. It's easy to use, comfortable, and features a scroll wheel.
