++Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse++

I bought this mouse after previously buying a laptop. The touchpad was really annoying me so I wanted to get a simple mouse to sort that problem. After going shopping in Tescos one day I saw this mouse on special offer for £8 so I decided to buy it. I thought this was a fairly cheap price.

It was packaged in a fairly large cardboard box and then inside some plastic blista packaging. After opening it very easily I quickly read the instruction menu which was very brief and in many different languages. It basically only had a quick setup guide of how to install it. Also included however was a disc including the drivers and a microsoft mouse configuration program. Its definitely a good idea to install this program as it allows you to program your mouse in many different ways, including the sensitivity, and pointers etc... which are the basic ones. But it also lets you program every button on the mouse to do different things which I found pretty cool.

The basic features of the mouse include 2 normal left and right buttons, a mouse wheel that scrolls left/right and up/down/ and is clickable and a shortcut key on the left hand side. Which I program as a back key for when im searching the internet. It is connected via a USB2 connection and is standard wired optical.

The only problem I have had with it is that sometimes it decides to just stop working with my computer as if ive dis-connected it. And ive tried it on several computers. After re-connecting the USB however it works fine. This only happens rarely but is still quite annoying obviously.

And to quickly some up the manufacturer support, its microsoft so on their website you will find absolutely everything to do with it including helpguides, new updated drivers and the lot.

Overall a good cheap little mouse thats a good all rounder :)
