Advantages: Excellent features, superbly designed

Disadvantages: None

Microsoft have made mice for a long time, and they have usually been excellent. There is a huge difference between a good mouse and a bad one. It can get pretty uncomfortable using a poorly designed cheap mouse for hours on end. In fact, over time it can lead to upsetting health problems.

I have been using this mouse for around two years and it has served me well. It features...

Optical movement - the standard nowadays and it works just fine. It has a resolution of 1000 dpi which is great for gaming and graphic design when paired with a good work surface.

Ergonomic design - fits my hand perfectly and I have medium sized hands. It will fit a left or a right handed user. The buttons have a standard clicking sound to them, certainly not as nice as a luxury mouse but it doesn't get in the way of things. The scroll wheel is excellent. Unlike a lot of other mice, where there is a obvious and displeasing clicking rotation, this one is extremely smooth. It moves like it's seated in butter! The scroll wheel has left and right navigation too, allowing you to use your mouse look left and right at large web pages or images.

Wired - it's a wired mouse, no no batteries to change. The cord isn't too long, in fact it could do with being just a little longer.

Price - this is a low priced mouse. You can find them from £15 to £25. At £15 they are a serious bargain, containing more features than most other mice in the same price range with the addition of having a more ergonomic design.

Software - If you are using Windows, you can install the software that comes with the mouse and program it to your hearts content. It will allow you to program in click-sequences so that you can save time on commonly performed tasks.

So all in all, a great mouse and one that I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a cheap mouse that doesn't have cheap design or features.

Summary: Great product - highly recommeded for all computer users
