a touch sensitive mouse by Microsoft

I always like to have a good mouse on my computer and I change them quite regularly to make sure my mouse is always fast as with work I need a good mouse. I do like Microsoft for mice as I know they are good quality and they are reliable. This comes in three different colours but I went for the black as it is always best with it being really premium looking but there is red and grey if you do like something a bit more quirky for your computer.

      APPEARANCE

This mouse is very nice to look at and you can tell it is expensive as it is a gloss plastic look and has a silver panel on the top which is the scroll button. The mouse is very lightweight as it is only 113g and the dimensions of it are 20 x 14 x 4 cm which is just the right size for a mouse. The good thing also with this mouse is that it is wireless which is what I like and it comes with a small USB wireless adapter which is plugged into your computer.

      MICROSOFT EXPLORER TOUCH MOUSE

To start with this mouse is really easy to set up and all you need to do is stick the USB wireless adapter into the USB port of your computer and this will start to install the drivers so that it is ready to use. Once this has been done you need to stick 2 x AA batteries into the mouse which are inserted underneath the mouse and you will know it is working as the blue light will go on. The battery life on this is really good as I have only put two batteries in from the start.

They state that this has a batter life of up to 18 months which is very impressive. The mouse has an on and off switch on the surface which just helps to save power as well. I always turn my mouse off once I have turned my computer off to make the battery life last as long as possible. The mouse is very comfortable to use and my hand rests nicely on this and being slightly raised it couldn't be anymore perfect for me to use for long periods of time.

The mouse has your usual left click and right click which are easy enough to click and it has the usual click sound, it isn't noisy and is like any other mouse. The middle of the mouse has a silver rectangular button which is the scroll bar this requires a little sliding movement and then it will scroll up and down. The mouse vibrates slightly which is odd so that it shows it has recognised scroll movement and then it will move very easily, sometimes it does stick.

The mouse is very sensitive and it doesn't require much pressure for it to move around. In terms of cleaning the mouse being a gloss plastic does get dirty quicker than a lot of other mouse and so if you just give it a quick wipe it will be sparkling and new again. The main reason that I picked this mouse was for the design as I thought it looked sleek and modern and it just stood out to me and I wanted something with touch sensitivity.

I would recommend this mouse to anyone willing to pay a bit more than normal for a good quality mouse. My rating is one short of full marks mainly because of the fact that the scroll sticks the odd time as I hoped for perfection when paying this much for a mouse. Other than this, I cannot fault this on anything else as it has great battery life, looks great and is really comfortable to use and that is all I want from a good mouse.

      COST

This mouse is sold on most electronic retailers websites but Amazon are selling this at £33.67 direct from them with free delivery. They have a cheaper rate with one of their online sellers but this is £25.99 and also free delivery.
