This mouse is certainly at the lower end of the price scale for Wireless products but as it is made by microsoft you can guarantee that it will do the job. I bought mine off Amazon and found that the driver installed very quickly and so usage straight out of the box is less than a minute. This mouse is very reliable and it only requires 1xAA battery (which lasts for an eternity.) I've had my mouse nearly 2 years and have only changed the battery once which could be due to the battery it came with.
