Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 5000

I bought this product when I found the touch pad on my laptop was becoming a pain to use (it was purchased from Currys: excellent service). The package includes the mouse (including batterys) as well as a reciever. I found that the reciever can pick up the mouse from over 10 meters away, however the clicking function of the mouse only really work from about 5 meters away (I have no idea why this is). Another thing to add is that the reciever has trouble connecting with the mouse if it is on a different height level. The mouse has 5 clicking buttons aswell as a wheel.
