Advantages: good little mouse

Disadvantages: Price

When it comes to mice, you cant beat the original and in my mind, still the best, Microsoft Mouse.
It may look rather simple in appearance compared to the other ludicrous inventions on the market but it does its job.
At the end of the day, you buy a kettle to make a cup of tea, not fill itself, pour the tea and bring n the biscuits do you?
Wheres the fun if your mouse does too much for you?

That is why I have stuck with mine.

Here are my pros and cons to mice in general and why Microsoft Basic mouse is the best.

1) Cordless Mice.
Forgive me if im wrong but you will be using your mouse next to your computer wont you? You wont be sitting on the other side of the room will you? You wont be able to see the screen from there.
True, in environments where a Light pro may be used for a presentation, they are ideal. But how many people that have them use a light pro regularly?
Harly any.
I actually like my mouse cord because it give me some form of control when im gaming online with Rainbow 6 or Age of empires. It give me some idea of where I am and the range I have.
The basic wins im afraid.

2)Wheelie mice
Its very nice having a little wheel to play with on your mouse but what benefit does it give you?
OK it scrolls up and down the menus nicely but is it reall all that hard to push the mouse 2 centimetres backwards to click on an option?
No, its not. Besides, you are normally flying around all over the mouse pad anyway. Its not as if an extra tug is going to inflict RSI is it?
Besides, I forget its there when I use one and by the time I have, I could have done what I wanted to do the normal way half as quick.
Basic Mouse wins again.

Not forgetting that its now "ergonomically" designed to fit in the hand much easier.
Its simple, effect, easy to use and most of all, cheap!
Not as cheap as some of the budget mice but you are paying for the Micr
osoft name.

I'm with everyone else. I do like the basic mouse (I've used so many mice in my time, i could tell you who made a mouse just by looking at it!)but i like the scroll wheels. It's a hell of a lot easier.

The MS Basic mouse does fit nicely in your hand though.

Apple have simplicity down to a tee... one button, no fuss, no bother...;)
