Advantages: 5 Customisable Buttons, Scroll Wheel & Comfortable Design
Disadvantages: None
The Microsoft Intelli mouse Optical 1.1 is a versatile tool for your PC. The mouse is by Microsoft so you know you have something which will work well on any surface and can easily navigate around your documents and websites.
The mouse is optical which basically means it has no ball underneath and uses laser technology. This enables you to navigate easily and makes the cursor on screen accurate. Being optical it can be used with ease on any surface, were a ball would be difficult. Also there is hardly any cleaning required. I only need to clean around the mouse and scroll wheel once in a while which is easier than having a ball base which you have to open up regularly to clean as it gathers a lot of unwanted dust.
The design of the mouse is very comfortable and is ergonomically designed for comfort. It fits neatly into the palm of your hand and the keys are conveniently placed. You can also use the mouse if your left or right handed, it doesn't matter. I'm right handed so I don't know if it works just as well left handed.
What makes this mouse different to others is the sensitive scroll wheel which can be used to scroll down web pages and documents. It also has a quick access internet button on the side which can be used for going back and forth web pages.
Main features:
- Scroll wheel
- 5 customisable buttons
- Software and drivers included
- Wired USB, PS/2
- 5 year warranty
Overall this is a very reliable mouse and I haven't had any problems with it. I still use it sometimes if I need to with my laptop, as I have a wireless mouse and keyboard now. The Microsoft Intelli mouse Optical 1.1 costs around, £15-£20.
