Advantages: Optical, Very sensitive, Perfect size and cable length for travelling

Disadvantages: Can strain your hand if using for a very, very long time

I have used this mouse now for about half a year since getting my Vaio. As the Sony mice were way too overpriced, I looked elsewhere. I found it on Amazon, but wanted the special edition one (the one in the picture) which is black and red.

The mouse is very attractive with a nice warm red glow where the optical sensor bit is. I especially like it when the light shines brighter when the mouse is moved. The mouse is very small but under normal use it is fine and nicely designed. As I am left handed, this mouse works well, unlike some others which are designed for right hand use only. It is also very well built, I have knocked it about a fair few times and it is still going strong.

The mouse is very sensitive, but not in a bad way. I suppose it is designed like this as it is a notebook mouse. It can be used on virtually any surface, desk, paper, on my leg, on my bed even! It is a lot better than most other optical mice I have used. One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't like certain colours of surfaces. If you are using it on one of these colours, then the pointer tends to 'jump' accross the screen.

There are some disadvantages though. As I have relatively large hands, it can sometimes get uncomfortable when using for a long time. This really isn't a huge problem though. I have evn heard that there are people who use this mouse for their desktops as it is that good. Of course, you will need a USB extension cable as the cable with this is very short. However, it is the perfect length when used with a laptop. The mouse uses standard USB connections, and I don't think you can use it with an adaptor.

This is a quality piece of equipment and well worth the price. If you do a lot of travelling, have a notebook, or looking for a small optical mouse then this is the answer.

A good review, adds foundation to my own recent review on the item. As I am fairly new to reviewing it has given me a good guide to where I can improve. Maybe you could check out my review and let me know what you think.

Dave.
