I got this mouse about a year ago because I was starting to suffer wrist ache from using my mouse too much - all day during work and then playing games on my home pc at night. A friend who had suffered similar problems recommended one of these to me. According to him (and some reviews I had read at the time) the trackball mouse helps reduce wrist strain because it rotates your hand slightly so that it isn't completely palm down and the change in movement by using your fingers also was meant to be easier to use than a conventional mouse. Having tried both a thumb and finger trackball I have to say the finger operated one works best for me. The shape supports the whole hand in a gentle position (although I also use a wrist rest with it) and the scroll wheel, and button configuration are really ergonomically designed. One thing I noticed in particular is how comfortable the large trackball is. Due to the size it is quite easy to shift the cursor around the screen with minimal effort on the fingers. The thumb sits perfectly on the right button (which is curved so the thumb rests in a natural position) and ... Read the complete review
