Quality trackball; who needs Logitech? (Microsoft Trackball Optical)

Advantages: Very comfortable to use, even for long periods. Scroll wheel/other buttons. Ease of setup.

Disadvantages: Tendancy to collect dirt; no good for lefties.

This is a really nice bit of kit. The trackball features a scroll wheel, which is very useful and quickly becomes second nature, and 'back'/'forward' buttons. All of these are logically placed, and overall it is exceptionally comfortable to use, even for long periods. Setup is a doddle, just plug in and go.

The only real downside is it has a tendancy to clog up slightly; I find I need to take the ball out and clean it and the inside once or twice an hour. And obviously it's completely the wrong shape for the left handed..

I picked this up for all of £25 4 years ago and it continues to do the job. If you don't like touchpads/laptop nipples and you either dislike or don't have the space for mice, then I can't recommend this enough.

Summary: Comfortable, well designed trackball for those who enjoy ball polishing..
