Having been frustrated on many occasions when selecting a new mouse for my beloved pc, I remained rather sceptical about what was on offer for a while. However, having had to clean my mouse three times in two weeks, as it wasn?t detecting movement, I had finally had enough. I had a browse around PC World and was so shocked by some of the prices that I had to be brought a chair and a glass of water. Upon recovery, I turned around and left the store. I decided to stick to the poor excuse for a mouse I had - I wasn?t going to pay through the nose for one I wasn?t even sure would be any better. A couple of months later, I popped into my local Dixon?s just to see ... Read the complete review

Where laptop computers are concerned, on one thing my wife and I are agreed, there is no real substitute for a proper mouse. Over the years laptop computer manufacturers have experimented with many alternatives to the external mouse but none have been entirely successful. IBM and Toshiba both included the Accupoint “nipple”, which sticks up from between the keys in the middle of the keyboard. This abysmal device has to be the worst invention of all time. As some members will have read, I wrote an opinion on the “Cordless Mouse” some while ago and I have been well satisfied with it but for one tiny detail. You still have to clean the rollers from time to time. An irksome task that gets forgotten about until such time as the pointer jerks across the screen in some wild Saint Vitas dance. So delving into the darkest recesses of my ageing memory I remembered seeing on the shelf at PC World one of these new fangled ‘ball less’ mice or as it should be known an Optical Mouse. This too came in a box that was far too big but PC World thoughtfully priced it at the same £19.99 that they ... Read the complete review
