A truly great mouse for anyone looking for a decent quality gaming mouse on a reasonable budget. The mouse is very responsive and although it can take a little getting used to within windows if this is the first time you have used a high DPI mouse, the end result is higher productivity and less range of motion in your hand - something that will stop the aches associated with long periods on the computer.
The mouse can be slightly over-sensitive in some applications (for example while working in 3ds Max or Photoshop - anything needing higher levels of precision in smaller incremental movements) but the accompanying software or even the standard windows configuration can overcome this with ease when needed. A button to control the sensitivity on the fly would help, which is also available on the slightly more expensive models, but even without this is a brilliant mouse overall.
If you're a gamer, you'll know just how important your hardware is to you, especially if you compete online. It can make the difference of a win or a loss, it can get you that last hit to get the kill or the last heal to save your friends.
The Razer Krait is an extremly affordable and precise peice of equipment. Its the ONLY Razer mouse to come with the simplicity of just 3 buttons, the left, right and scroll wheel. Simple. You don't need any others when you're in control.
It comes in Black with two choises of laser colour, Golden Yellow or Blood Red. I've tried out both and I personally think the Blood Red looks an awful lot better. The laser is extremly responsive and your sensitivity can range anywhere upto 1600dpi.
If your a FPS gamer (First Person Shooter) then I would definetly reccomend this mouse to you. Combine it with a good keyboard (e.g. a G15 or a Saitek Eclipse) and you have a killer desktop combination. Not only do they look awesome, they're effective at turning you into an online gaming killing machine.
The Razer Krait also features 'On The Fly' technology if you change games or just fancy changing the way your mouse handles. You can set your scroll wheel up to change the sensitivity of your mouse instantly, just by pressing a combo of the buttons. You can change from 400 upto 1600 dpi depending on just how sensitive you want it to be.
The mouse feet are made of teflon to allow it to glide over almost any surface and still be playable. You can use it without a mousemat and it will still be just as responsive and effective.
Once you use a Razer Mouse, especially the Krait, you won't be able to go back. The special features such as 'On The Fly' and just the overall way it handles is supreme.
I used to game professionaly in online tournements, mainly FPS and MMORPG games and I used this mouse throughout. I seriously reccomend it and cannot praise it enough. I'm currently on my second mouse due to the first one packing up after many years of using it.
They cost only around £20-£25 brand new, which is an excellent price compared to some of the other Razer mice.
If you don't want the un-needed compications of a 7 button mouse, and just want a good, clean, efficiant mouse to ensure your gaming is always succesful, go for the Krait.
