Advantages: Looks great, easy to install and use.

I recently bought one of these nifty optical mouses (mice?) for the princely sum of 4 pounds. It was on sale, and it was purple, and I just couldn't resist. This model also comes in the silver shown above and a range of other colours. The purple is ridiculously cute though - it is a lovely shade of lilac on the top and the side panels, with a cut out of transparent plastic between (allowing you to see all the computer magic going on inside). There is a light that operates inside beneath the clear coloured scrolling wheel, and this glows a sort of UV coloured purple. I assume that this would then be different depending on which colour mouse you'd purchased.

Setting this optic mouse up could not be simpler. I used it on my Mac and literally all you do is plus the USB cable that comes with the mouse already attached, into the USB port of your computer, and away you go! That easy.

The mouse seems to be fairly sensitive, but not annoyingly so, and I don't have any trouble at all maneuvering my cursor around the screen. What's useful also is that you can still use the pad on the laptop if you feel like it, without having to unplug the mouse. The cursor simply responds to whichever method you're using at the time.

All in all it would be hard to go wrong for this price, although I imagine that you could also find this mouse for significantly more. My advice is keep an eye out for deals. So far it's great and looks cute too!
