cepidlaka Microsoft Trackball Optical: ... more to that: - they are still not much in demand, so shops that have a few lying in stock for years are keen to get rid of them and You can come across real bargains. That is how I bought a new Microsoft Trackball Optical for just under 14 EUR. It went as a gift, but I gave it a test drive out of curiosity. Here it will be compared to my Logitech Trackman which is the benchmark in the category, while Microsoft ...

cepidlaka Logitech Trackman Marble Wheel
... Cleaning is easier than for an ordinary mouse, although more frequent. The whole thing is more robust and reliable, with less moving parts, and this Trackman in particular is well made. It is several years old, nothing worn out or fallen off, stable on the surface. - You ll hopefully never need this, but if You do, it could save You: Trackball works well in a moving car, bus etc, even for graphics. - The one I got has an extraordinarily long cable. Try lying on a couch, watching the movie on the PC across the room, and commanding from Your thigh with an ordinary mouse! Drawbacks (mostly minor, IMHO): - It is expensive, but not overtly - Takes a bit more space in...

richard_richard Logitech Trackman Marble Wheel
... recently came across this trackball buried away in a box in our IT department. It was obviously a peripheral that had been purchased with good intentions to begin with and then later discarded! After some enquiries I found out that this trackball had been purchased for our Survey...

When I first got hold of it, and set it up, useage was slow and difficult to say the least. This mouse definately needs to getting used to! I have been using a normal 2 button mouse for about the last 8 years, then moved to this mouse for about the last 5. As I say, progress was slow, and I was beginning to think I had wasted my money. But never-the-less, I persevered, and after a month or two, I was fully competant in it's use, and found it's use MUCH easier than a normal m...
