After an unfortunate incident involving my laptop and a drink the mouse buttons no longer work and I found it very awkward to do certain things like highlighting text using the touch pad alone. I was delighted to be given this little mouse by a friend because it is perfect for my needs.

This is not a full sized mouse but a small mouse ideally suited to for use with a netbook or laptop or when travelling. The dimensions are 7.5 x 4.7 x 2.8 cm. It took me a little while to get used to it as I have only ever used full sized ones in the past. The difference is that you just use your fingers to move and operate it and you can't rest your whole hand on it. I get on with this very well now that I am used to it and do not find this to be a problem. However I probably wouldn't recommend this for heavy usage for hours at a time like for gaming as it wouldn't offer enough support and would probably make your hand ache.

It obviously has the standard left and right buttons and it also has a scroll wheel which spins comfortably and is responsive but not too over eager! A mouse without a scroll hweel is not worth having in my opinion. The mouse and its cable are black however the feature which really makes it stand out from the crowd is that it contains colour-changing lights which I absolutely love. The colours gradually transition from red through yellow, white, green, aqua, blue and purple the whole time it is connected to your computer. The colours look really great but they are not at all distracting when you are actually using the mouse.

This is an optical LED mouse and it doesn't seem to need a mouse mat unless you specifically want to use one as I have used it on the sofa, on my leg and on the space below the keys on my laptop and have had no issues at all. It plugs into the USB port and has a retractable cable which is an excellent feature as you can adjust it depending on where you are and what is appropriate and it tidies away easily and can be packed up without risk of the cable getting tangled. I have never had the cable jam or try to retract without me wanting it to.

All in all, this is a great product and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a funky little colour changing mouse. Mine came from an independent high street computer shop however they are currently for sale on Amazon for £9.61. Five stars!
