Rating:

Another birthday had come around - and they do seem to come around very quickly these days - and my wife asked me what I thought I would like. "Dunno," I replied, "let's go and look in PC World." When we entered the store, for quite some time the latest and fastest PC's with sleek TFT monitors acted like a magnet ...  Read the complete review

I maintain a number of websites as a bit of an obsession, and load up many photos and graphics as part of the deal. Inevitably with scanning in photos there always tend to be flaws to correct and improvements to make, and I've written here before about using Adobe Photoshop to do so. The problem, however, with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review RSI-free zone? (615 words)
by - written on 12/07/02 (Very useful, 1447 readings)
Rating:

Why would you buy one of these when a Mouse is only a tenner? Some people like the gadgety nature, some people like to try new things - for me, it was because RSI meant that I just couldn't use a mouse. When you went to school back in the old days, what did you learn to write with? Did you push a plastic shape around on a ...  Read the complete review

My Mouse died............ For serious computer stuff ( not this internet thingo) I use an Apple G4 450Mhz DP. (until November last year the fastest benchmarked computer in the world, but that's besides the point) The G4 comes with a snazzy infra-red mouse, which died after two years of service. I shot out the door ( because ...  Read the complete review

Gadget Mad (648 words)

I have a problem; it is that I am a gadget man. I see these lovely new fangled technological marvels in the shop window calling my name. I swear I hear them, “Adam” they go “Adam, come in and buy me!” and thus I end up with loads of gadgets. The latest electronic gismo I fell under the spell of is the Wacom Graphire (USB ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Better than a mouse - give it a go. (537 words)
by - written on 09/08/01 (Very useful, 843 readings)
Rating:

I bought myself a wacom graphire for home use after I used one of Wacom's other tablets at work. My own budget wouldn't quite run to the professional end of their range, but I thought (and still think) that the Graphire is a good product for general home use that offers good value for money. It's dead simple to use the pen to ...  Read the complete review

Wacom has long held the position as front-runner in the computer tablets market for one reason - they usually produce the best. The Graphire is their consumer product, whilst their Intuos range provide their prosumer and pro offerings. Premium Review Fantastic, excellent, wonderful (101 words)
by - written on 27/10/00 (Useful, 184 readings)

Best piece of kit I bought. (Well, equal to the Zip drive, I think). Swapping between mouse and pen is seamless and a joy. I have the USB version as I’m already out of serial ports. Works perfectly. The only disadvantage being that when the PC powers down to standby, this mouse fails to wake it. So just hit the Win95 Menu key. No major ...  Read the complete review

If you are remotely into art or design you really should get yourself a graphics tablet. The Graphire from Wacom (www.wacom.de) is a great beginners tablet. It is available in the same range of colours as the i-macs from macintosh. I will let you decide if this is a good or bad thing!. When you first plug the tablet into the USB port and start ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wacom GOOD! Graphire BAD! (147 words)

I've used the previous version of this table (the penpartner). Is exactly the same but it doesn't comes with a mouse and it have a less rounded design. No one doubts that Wacom is the best graphic tablet manufacturer company in the world. But this product sucks a lot. You can't do anything with this work area (it's so small! only ...  Read the complete review
