For people who often make use of either audio recording tools or something like Skype on their computers, they might find that they need to invest in a microphone to get the most out of what they are doing. It has a good, simple design, with a curved head and a solid base. It feels quite light, but is still well built, as I've had mine for about two or three years now and there's no sign of any damage or wear and tear, and it still works just as well as ever.

The base is adjustable, so you can change the angle of the microphone. This means you can set it up in a comfortable position, which is very useful if you're talking for a while. You can also hold it in your hand, which I find useful if I'm having a relaxed chat on Skype, as you can sit back on the sofa rather than having to lean over the computer for a long time.
