Every musician understands the importance of a condenser microphone and how getting the right one is very important, irrespective if your recording, performing or just trying to get the right rhythm in place. I found myself having a very tight budget for picking up a microphone.
So I went ahead with the Shure PG81, which to be fair is a less expensive version of SM81 which provides you with a little more premium experience. But considering the price of the PG81 it is quite a steal. I have been using it for the last 5 years now, and have been very satisfied by its performance. It is quite economically priced, which makes it a value for money buy. It is acoustic compatible and has a durable and strong dependable build. Shure, is a reliable name is this industry and their products do live up to the standards set in the market. The dardioid pattern helps it reject feedback and noise, and give you a crisp final product. It provides efficient performance and its simplistic operations makes it very easy to use. However the sensitivity is below par compared to other microphones and it is lighter than most others. But at its cost, it sure does deliver quite good quality.
