Sanyo EM-S1565 ... a year and a half ago our old microwave gave up the ghost an we had to say our goodbyes and go out and buy a replacement. We had a fairly limited budget between 50 - 80 pounds, plus the area of my kitchen that homed my old microwave was quite small, so the size of our new microwave would have to be limited too. When I buy any new electrical appliances now-a-days I usually spend a good bit of time comparing options and prices online (my son has me well trained!) but this time our need for a microwave was great so the comparisons went out the window (along with the old microwave) and we just headed down to our local Argos store. Delonghi 21 Litre White Touch ... brought this microwave from Homebase for the princely sum of £44.99. It was a bargain and a spur of the moment purchase because our old one was years old and the display had stopped working along with the power levels. This new DeLonghi oven is an 800watt oven, meaning it is the higher power level on lots of food types that have microwave instructions. I like the overall design, although had to get used to the fact that it was white instead of silver. However it has a lovely smooth digital display on the right hand side that is really easy to use. Hinari EMX 752SSE ... have had this microwave oven Hinari EMX 752SSE for just under two years and until very recently was very pleased with it. The inside is painted white. Now this inside paint is cracking where the turntable ring turns. This has caused an increase in friction, so it is a little worse after each use. Much more of a nuisance are the messy little bits of white paint chips that have to cleared up after every use. As it is out of guarantee, I can t get it replaced by the manufacturer or Tesco, where the purchase was made.
