This is a very attractive looking built-in style microwave. It is 800 watts, and has a capacity of 17 litres, which I believe is 0.6 cubic feet. Big enough for a family meal if you happen to have a frozen one that needs reheating, in any case. It has five power levels and a child safety lock - although if you have a built-in microwave it's normally too high for a miscreant child to reach, surely? Still, a nice bonus feature.
Something I do think is pretty cool is the auto-cook feature: it does something terribly intelligent to determine the appropriate cooking time for whatever's in there based on its size and weight. I've experimented with this a couple of times just to see and it's pretty accurate. The pasta I put in there seemed to throw it off its game (those little holes in the middle, you see) and it went a bit rubbery, but reheated pasta's never going to be as good as fresh so I'm not so concerned.
It does lack some things that I would consider fairly essential considering that the normal retail price of this thing is £330-£400 (currently on offer for £330 in various places). It lacks a grill function and a fan, and while they're not strictly part of the job of a microwave, in my opinion people with lovely built in type kitchens that this microwave would go in are likely to be foodies and so an extra oven would be a welcome bonus for the times they're cooking for a crowd.
This is a very attractive thing, though, brushed stainless steel and a very futuristic look to it, and would look good in the kitchen. It just doesn't do as much as I'd want, although what it does do it does very well and it's very easy to use. Not too loud, either.
