Advantages: The price, the performance
Disadvantages: The Safety Hazard
A few weeks ago I was walking through the high street when I noticed dixons and decided to do some early christmas shopping. When I walked in, after dodging the many electrical good shoppers Kamikaze style, I came across this microwave. It was sleak, worked well (The store assistant showed me to work it) and was pretty inexpensive for a microwave.
I paid £24.95 for this particular design because it seemed to have everything that I needed. It actually cooked the food! lol Unlike my old microwave.
Overview of the product: -
# Capacity (l) - 17L
# Capacity (CuFt) - 0.6
# Microwave wattage - 700 watts
# Power Levels - 5
# Energy efficiency - D Maff Rating
# Auto Defrost - Prevents build up of frost and water pools
# 197 mm Height
# 291 mm Width
# 298 mm Depth
Performance: I give it a 7/10. The speed at which it cooks food could be improved
ease of use: VERY easy to use, once you get used to it
Durability: Very durable
User's manual - A bit difficult to understand to be honest
Cleaning and maintenance - It hasnt broken down yet and its very easy to clean as long as you unplug it. Dont do what I did and leave it plugged in, accidentally press the on button and burn yourself. I find it very strange that it worked even with the door open - A safety hazard.
Safety - The microwave I brought worked even with the door open. A MAJOR safety hazard.
Value for money: Very good value
How much did you pay? : £24.95
Any repairs: I will have to get it repaired yes.
Special features - None really. Its the same as a normal microwave
Overall, apart from the obvious safety hazard, I would recommend this microwave for your sheer cooking pleasure!
Summary: Its a great microwave - Apart from safety
