If your looking for a really techy futuristic modern microwave then the Kenwood Gt/AL17 is for you.

The Kenwood immediately Wow's you with it's shiny reflective front which conceals some of the buttons and dials.

The unit comes in brushed aluminium and is compact for a microwave.
Its actual size is : 461x365x280

It is also very powerful being 800w so cooking whatever you require very quickly.


When you open the door you are faced with a dial, to set time and to choose from various cooking options for different types of meat , from defrost & reheat to fully cooking. It really does everything you need.
The Kenwood microwave has some easy auto cook programs and 5 power levels. The microwave also has a grill and is ideal for all those cooking needs.

The clever options allow you to defrost/reheat and cook dependant on weight. So if you know how much your food weighs then you can program your microwave accordingly.
So first choose if you want to cook/defrost or reheat an item then the type of meat for example fish or chicken etc, then tell it the weight of the item. The microwave works out from the options you have told it how long to cook or be on for. Quite a clever feature really. I have hardly used it so do not know if it works well or not.
The LED Display is bright and can be easily viewed from any angle.

I have had this microwave for over a year and it has been excellent. I have used all the functions, something i did not think i would and have been more than pleased with the results.
To clean it is also simple, the glass plate is removed allowing you to get underneath and you can get everywhere which is helpful.

However my only gripe and this isn't a major issue. The clock tends to get faster and faster. Mine was originally set and week by week you notice its faster by 5, 10 , 15 minutes. Why does this happen? Its a clock that does not want to keep time. Not a major issue unless you use it a lot!

The microwave is really easy to use so no problems there. It is made by Kenwood which is a reliable and good quality manufacturer so no problems there either.
All in all a great microwave that cooks anything really fast and easily!

Summary: Great microwave for grilling, cooking defrosting and reheating. Brilliant!
