Many of my larger kitchen appliances are from the Neff range, and they are a high quality brand - their microwave being no different. I have the 1000w variety without a grill. To be hhonest I don't feel the need for a grill on my microwave as I have one in my oven, so I would use that anyway to grill, plus it's larger than one in a microwave would be.
My Neff microwave is built in to the kitchen units which looks nice and smart anyway, but the microwvae is shiny stainless steel with a black windown, and would be a very attractive freestanding appliance too. The spinning glass plate inside the oven can easily be removed for cleaning and replaced, and the rest of the machine is quite easily wiped clean. Prevention is the best cure for those horrible spashes and stains that appear on the top surface of the microwave, and its just as awful with this one than any others! I should listen to my own advice as I never cover things during heating and always end up with a messy topo!
The maximum setting on this machine is 1000w, and there are also options for cooking at 600w and 800w, and also the abilty to defrost at 95w and 150w. For the more accurate cookier, there is also an option to input the weight of an item and set the time accordingly, though I must admit I have never used this option. The timer is set by a turning dial and displays the length of time you have chosen digitally on the display. This is very accurate and can be adjusted by the second, both before and during cooking. When the time is up the microwave makes a constant beep noise until the door is open. This can be a little annoying if yo are juggling other things and cannot open the door immediately!
The instruction manual that came with the microwave was extremely good. It gives full details of how to use the microwave, and also recipe ideas which is great. I'm not sure how much the oven cost to be honest, I know Neff appliances can be pricey, but I have had it since it was fitted in 2004 and it has worked perfectly ever since, so I dare to say it was very good value.
I bought this microwave recently and it was most definitely a microwave worth buying. It has a sleek and compact design. You'l be quite happy to know that it isn't even that heavy so if you are planning on travelling with it, i would most recommend it. Another good aspect is the noise, it isn't very loud at all and once it has finished heating the food up, it makes a distinct noise making the user aware to take his food out. It also has options for the types of food you plan to heat, e.g- pizza, sandwich, etc. The buttons are easy to press and the door opens with ease so it doesn't just fly open. This microwave is ideal, it is effient, it is reliable as it doesn't break and i have had no smashed plates or anything of the sort! I recommend this microwave to purchase and it will last years to come!
when my microwave droke on me in the middle of cooking my tea, i was so angry and upset because i loved my easy to use microwave. i through ow well ill go out and get a new one. a couple of weeks befor that my friend had her new microwave and told me all about how easy to use it was and how well it cooked meals, so i said to her lets try it out an ill think about gettin a new one. after we had something to eat i told her she was right, i had to get one. the neff h5430 microwave is greate and much easer to use then the other one that i had. you only have to run your finger over the buttons and numbers and the colour of the timer is a brigh colour so it is easy for people to see that find it difficult.
This is a 20 liter capacity microwave, has a maximum cooking power of 900watts, has an auto defrost program which is great and has two memory settings which are very useful.
However small your kitchen, you should find room for this neat 'mini' microwave oven, which fits into a 50cm wide wall unit / The H5430 boasts a capacious interior of 20 litres, a large glass turntable and many of the excellent features to be found on its larger counterparts, including recipe memory programmes and weight automatic defrosting / Short name: Neff H5430
