The Panasonic NN-E281MMBPQ is an entry-level microwave designed for smaller kitchens. It was approx 20L of capacity and 800W of microwave power. Because of its small size only smaller items would easily fit in (no large dinner plates sadly) and my take is that its not meant for heavy duty use.
After my SHARP microwave packed in, I found it hard to find a decent microwave and opted for something ona budget. While the build quality is great and it hasn't given me any trouble in the 2.5 years I have used it.
However there are some annoyances with this microwave:
1)There is no default power setting as with most other Microwaves. This means that the power level has to be set every time the oven is used.
2) Pressing start on most machines results in an AUTO ONE MINUTE HEAT. On this machine it does nothing and you have to set everything each time you use it.
3) Heating anything with a high liquid content for a few minutes produces more steam than I've seen with other Microwaves. You will need to wipe away the condensation or otherwise your oven will have issues documented elsewhere to do with paint bubbling and rusting. I feel it might be because the extraction of hot air and moisture wasnt thought through properly.
In conclusion, I'd say that I am a little disappointed with this microwave. I expected more from Panasonic here. That said it is a great basic microwave for someone who has space constraints and doesnt require a heavy duty microwave.
