Advantages: nice design

Disadvantages: low roof

It seems to have been a bad month for me in terms of all of my electronics going at once. When the microwave started to make a funny noise, I knew that it was in line for the next household appliance to break which is why I started looking early, before I had no microwave left. I knew I wanted a Russell Hobbs one as my friend has got a really nice on from them and it looks really stylish as well as having good features. The brand are a well known brand also and it just seemed to me what I wanted to pay for but I surprisingly got the best deal for my microwave in Morrisons.

APPEARANCE

The microwave has a really sophisticated appearance to it as it is stainless steel silver all over with the front window having a black tinted plastic look and the Russell Hobbs logo on the top left. The microwave also has 210 (h) x 315 (w) x 329 (d) dimensions in (mm) and is 800W. The microwave doesn't take up too much space and is more slender than other models. The design is nice, it has a clock display on the front and it also has a handle on the door as well as it having a dial to set the time.

The microwave is a 20 litre capacity and inside it has your usual glass dish which products sit on as it goes round. You pull the door open to get inside the microwave and it is also a grill as well. The microwave has a grill inside it which is really good so if you want to cook certain foods you can choose to cook them 70% grill, 30% microwave or vice versa depending on what you fancy. To set the time on this microwave, you just turn the dial and it will go up in seconds in tens and then minutes then you push it in and the microwave starts.

There are a number of auto cook settings on this microwave so you can auto cook coffee, rice, spaghetti, potatoes and fish so it cooks it perfectly for that exact food type. I sometimes use the rice one a lot but one thing that I do find annoying about this microwave is that the roof isn't very high on it so if you have standing up rice pouches, it knocks them and the rice goes everywhere which is a bit annoying but that's me being picky for a negative otherwise I can't fault the microwave on much else.

In terms of cleaning out the microwave, I don't find this that hard either as you can remove the glass dish separately and wash it and to get in and clean the roof and walls is fine and it never really smells unless you keep doing curry microwavable meals etc. The microwave has a child safety lock on it, which isn't a reason for me to buy it but if you have kids it is another feature which could be useful. I find this microwave cooks food really well, whether it be a microwavable meal or it could be heating something up.

It cooks really evenly and nothing really burns with this microwave. I also like the fact that it isn't too noisy when it is on as some can be loud. The microwave is easy enough to set the time off, it has a digital display clock in green display and you can either set it to twelve hour or twenty four hour clock but you set it and then it should be set, it is easy enough to change. The microwave beeps loudly when your food is ready, so you couldn't miss it when you need to take the food out.

I'd easily recommend this microwave to anyone, it cooks well, it's stylish and it is easy to set up and to use. The quality is really good with it and it would look good in any kitchen that has matching silver appliances. I am pleased with it and have nothing bad to say about it really as thankfully there have been no issues with it. I couldn't say enough about it and for the price I paid, it has been great just to have a microwave that is reliable and works well again and this is what this model does.

COST

I bought this microwave in Morrisons for £59.99 but Amazon are selling it on their website for £79.83 which still isn't too bad.
