Advantages: Efficient, durable finish, good looks

Disadvantages: no turntable grip, slow scrolling , no programmes list

Clad in stainless steel, this microwave won the 2000 House and Garden appliance of the year desiugn award. It's design is fairly angular but shouldn't date quickly.

Pros: Reasonably compact with a recessed turntable which maximises space. The grill is fast - with virtually no warm-up time. Quite a useful range of programmes and quite easy to use and keep clean. Average noise levels and pleasant scrolling dighital display in various languages. Nice on screen graphics to tell you what's on and which containers/supports toi use.The Boomerang turntable really works - ending where it began so you can grab a handle easily.

Cons: Erratic turntable action, large amount of rear space needed for deep magnetron, on-screen graphics not explained in user manual, recessed turntable has no recess - making it difficult to grip when removing for cleaning, no instructions about access for changing lightbulb, slow scrolling and no printed index makes it laborious to scroll through all 15 programmes, dooor get very hot when using convection, no advance programming, very quiet alarm clock/timer.

Overall: a very nice piece of equipment which is pleasing to the eye, easy to use and seems to work very efficiently. Only minor design faults in balance. I'd but it again and certainly recommend it.
