My family got this microwave a good 4 years ago and it has been a revelation to our lives.

It is a rather large microwave so holds quite a bit, it is also 900watts which most microwave meals don't even have on their instruction sleeve so you do have to adjust the time quite considerably.

When making microwave popcorn that needs 3 or 4 minutes, just don't go there! Smoke starts to filter from the microwave and your house will smell of burnt popcorn for days. Even 2 minutes and a half will still emitt salty/sweet/buttery popcorny smell into your household fabrics. You only need 2 minutes to do a popcorn bag. This microwave really is that powerful!

Cooking frozen or chilled pizza was such a task in a proper oven and not having a timer to time it correctly and so on.

With this Sharp beauty however, there is a magic pizza button (or so my little sister calls it, how sweet!) and you just input the weight of your pizza, tell the microwave if it is frozen or chilled and bam, pizza cooked to perfection in approximately 7 minutes, at least half of the time it takes in an oven. Environmentally friendly for not using as much electricity or gas as an oven? I think so.

When we first bought it, it was a good £200... but seriously worth the money. Especially if you are environmentally conscious because this microwave also has a power saving button so it doesn't stay on until you open the door and use it.
