NOOOOO! Christmas Day food being cooked, meat finished in the main oven, so it was taken out to leave space for the veg and otherbits like the pudding to cook and Bang! The microwave gives up the ghost. Now what! I was relying on it to reheat the meat for christmas lunch so everything would be nice and hot. Together. Not happy...
Anyway crisis was diverted by putting needed meat in a glass dish and reheating in main oven for a little longer, and we had to wait a little longer for dinner but everything went back to how we did things before microwaves you can imagine my day bit of a nuisance but we got round it.
Needless to say I now needed a new microwave and cheap as possible as I found myself with a broken arm and nerve damage without pay over christmas but that is another story.
Marching around the stores coming up empty we finally found one on Tesco of all places and as cheap as chips at around £30 sorry to be vague but was so happy with the replacement and getting pretty fed up by this stage I couldn't have cared what was paid. But with money being tight it was the lowest price I found.
It is white very basic, has a turntable with a glass disc, two basic dials one for the speed and defrost button and one for minutes of cook time needed. Plain simple cheap and works well. A bit noisy but no more than any other that I have purchased in the past. It works so I am very happy with that. It is 700w which is a bit slower than some but works reasonably quickly and heats the food properly if you follow the guidelines on most precooked foods, or microwave cook books.
Not much else to say about it really.
