... World - not exactly sure what their target market is any more! PC World used to be the best place to get anything to do with a PC. They had a PC games section that was twice the size of a normal games store. Every peripheral (i.e. keyword) would have its own isle and if you needed something quickly you could count on them. Mesh Computers ... NOT EVEN CONTEMPLATE BUYING. I did. I bought a gaming computer for £1,600. It went wrong within six weeks. Contact with support produces near unintelligible advice. But I obtained clearance to return it for repair. The hard drive was gone, dead. I delivered and picked up the unit. The whole took 13 days. Within three months it went wrong again. Same hopeless support. Again drove from Croydon to take it back. I rang to check progress and as I write it took 16 minutes to even get an operator . I am told it will take 21 days to repair!!! They have had it for 11 days. Guess they are inundated with repairs. The site is manned by disinterested sales staff, by the way. Welco... Mesh Computers ... T USE MESH !!! RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH AVOID !!!! I have had nothing but problems with Mesh since I ordered my machine early October. I can only say DON T USE THEM they dont deserve to be in business!!! 3 failed delivery dates, false promises, call centres based in India who have no idea what is actually going on with your order and promise staff will get back to you but don t. After over a 40 day wait for a pc it eventually arrived but having looked the spec is different (worse than what was ordered) the keyboard and mouse didn t arrive and the reason given for the delay (the 5770 graphics card) isn t what the delivery note says is even installed. PC World ... this before you buy from this store!!!!! I bought a £999 HP DV9000 series laptop from PC world Stirling on the 4th January 2007. The laptop functioned perfectly until November 2007 when the graphic card failed and it had to be repaired. The shop do not take under warranty repairs and claim it is nothing to do with them. It had to be mailed to techguys. For the first "repair" Techguys fitted a motherboard but did not connect the fans and cooked the laptop components. The second repair came back with the casing sticking open at one end and the fans fitted (no new M/board replacement) - Laptop returned for proper fitting. Sent back a third time as casing st...
