Medion UK
by B HAM
Yes you will have been impressed by price, spec and 3 year warranty. But once it goes wrong you are screwed. You will enter the surreal world of medion "customer service". They will post (yes POST) a letter detailing returns. And then the pc will be picked up a few days later by DPD and then delivered by horse carriage to ... medion, Germany many days later. Then your 10 working days commence. In this time they will string you along with excuses and lies. 6 weeks (and a lot of nagging phone calls) later they will admit the pc is unrepairable and send you a "brand new" pc, WHICH DOESN'T WORK!!!!!
Medion customer service is SH!T.
As polite as they may be, they are totally useless and keep you hanging on when you ring them (0871 number).
You have been warned...
Do not buy a medion pc.

Medion UK
by myrev
I bought a 17.3" 7219 laptop directly from Medionshop UK. It arrived after 4 days with several faults. Keys got stuck at random, audio had a loud humming noise and screen flickered. I rang Medion customer services and was told the laptop would be exchanged but I demanded a refund. It is from here on that the real problems started. ... After 4 days I received a letter asking me to arrange a return with DPD to Germany. After several attempts I gave up and rang Medion again. They insisted that it is my responsibility to arrange the return, even though the laptop was brand new, broken, and I had asked for the refund within 7 days. Eventually, I wrote a letter advising Medion of my UK Consumer Rights. So, they arranged for collection but I am still awaiting a refund. Will probably have to go through the Small Claims Court or make a chargeback to my credit card. Never again, Medionshop UK. Read the complete review |

Mesh Computers
by dooyoodiver
Ordered and paid for i7 latest spec machine with upgraded motherboard and a couple of other upgrades...
My money was taken and I was told to expect around ten working days. Ten working days came and left this earth and no sign of my eagerly await top of the range mesh quiet pc... it was all going to be worth it.
I called they ... kept me on hold for ever. Then I got told that there was a chip supply problem for my build.
How can that be 11 working days on and no i7 CPU! Its the latest spec you should have that on your shelves. Ok when Can I expect it now? another four working delays... I mean days. Okay but why did nobody pick the phone up to tell me... silence is golden at Mesh. So four working days later still no sign... I should have taken that as a sign! But no its Mesh computers they worth all the wait they are brilliant. Nobody calls so I called back... Where is my i7 pc??? well you see its like this.... blah blah production supply problems no graphics card! What Imp sorry say that again? I thought the problem was the chip?
Yes no yes the problem is no graphics card. Ok so what do you have on the shelf? Oh we have this lesser card you can have for the same money or this other card for three times the price!... sorry you expect me to pay extra after the treatment I am receiving? well yes we do. (By the way it is now 22 working days since the whole process started and they took my money). So Ok what other nvidia cards do you have that will do the job for running two monitor and my requirements... we have gtx 660. then after much discussion I thought we had an agreement. At least that's what it sounded like to me. Now I would have to wait a further 3 working days including weekends this has pushed the wait time so far to over a month. And still no PC. Okay I've waited this long... In all this I shall not describe how bad the wait times on their phone system listening to music or on silent hold, suffice to say it can be counted in hours.
My God I nearly fell of my chair on the fourth day I got a phone call from Mesh computers Would I be available to take delivery of PC tomorrow. YES PLEASE was my answer. Thank you thank you thank you.
Next day came of course I was the last on the delivery run. At last exhausted from hours of discussion and negotiations etc etc etc... The computer was in my house. It looked yummy it sounded... very quiet, yes yes yes I'm all excited. So started looking around and something didn't seem quite right! HOLD ON this is not the Graphics card I was lead to believe would be in the system. no No NO WHY ME... calm down lets have another look so ran systems utilities and found not only was it a lesser card it was a lesser mother board and not even the same board that it said in the documentation... I used to be a happy chappie.
MESH you have 10/10 for customer dissatisfaction/disservice. OK now what do I keep this (it is a nice build)... or ask for what I asked and paid for in the first place or return the bloody thing?
So I decided to pack the thing up and take it back in person and let them now in a polite way (which is the way In have dealt with them all the way) and let them know how dissatisfied I am to see what they would do about it. The answer of course would be nada niet nicht nothing rien. But I still had some hope of owning a nice Mesh computer So down to HQ with my pc.
I was a little taken aback when I got to a similar address to theirs just around the corner and the nice lady there said good luck we get this all the time... they are round the corner in the small unit. Another Sign? Still I knocked on the next door and eventually a man with a lab coat answered and asked me to wait in what looked like the production facility split almost 40/40/20 production/storage/thruway to upstairs offices. So I waited and waited and people came in and out. I had a good twenty minute wait and I almost felt like I should be putting on a lab coat and putting some units together There was only one production staff at the time by the time I got seen to the other two returned from lunch.
Laugh... Ill keep this short... So I asked the man who came down to look at my problem he shrugged his shoulder and offered no solution... only another long wait in this non waiting area. after four ups and downs the short of it was they would put the computer back to original spec (not the one I wanted or the one I subsequently agreed on) and they would send it on no recompense no remorse no real conviction, no sincere apology and all done in a waiting area that's open to the stores and small production facility they have. Their offices were obviously too good for customers. After some soul searching and getting in touch with my gut! I decided to take a full refund that I would have to wait for at least ten working days. My patience was more than thin by now but I didn't show it stayed polite and showed my sadness and disappointment at the whole shenanigans.
So of I left for home with a sad excuse for a receipt and no money and no computer.
ten days later and several calls later no money another promise one week... One week later and several calls... guess what... no money another promise another week this time for sure.... one week passed guess what.... still no money. I HAVE NO MORE PATIENCE... I am loosing it this is beyond extracting the urine. I am nearly into third month with this company since I parted with my money and today they are promising that they have processed the payment and it should be in my account in three working days!
For everybody's sake I will not swear.... but you know I AM SWEARING BLIND AND GETTING LIVID...
and the drives around in a Bentley now calm down... needless to say the saga is not over yet... I still have to wait for another three working days.... meanwhile CC company is being informed and solicitors are being instructed... what else is a reasonable meant to do against daylight robbery.
By the way they will not reimburse me for my time, my travel costs my phone bills or for any other inconvenience that they have caused.....
I can only hope that this will guide others down the right path before they choose their PC Laptop
And Im still hoping Ill get my money back
(by the way Mesh computers ceased to trade they are now PC Peripherals... a ten pound takeover that left many people without the systems they paid for.. they are just trying to make money from Mesh computers old reputation) Read the complete review |
