This retailer is a well developed and reliable retailer. The depth of stock is alittle light in some areas but in general most price points are covered. They seem to have e reliable set up where you could purchase with a great deal of confidence, I say that without ever having to make a complaint or return. What I have found is that they are not always the keenest price, it does pay to shop around, I have seen items available at jungle considerably cheaper on other sites. The communocation is good and in general they are one of the efficient retailers online.
I ordered a DVD from Jungle in December 2001 as a Christmas present. I checked the order status page a week later and the delivery date had slipped back to 27 December - so I rang Jungle customer services and cancelled the order. That was on the Tuesday. Two days later the dvd was delivered to my house. I rang Jungle again and was told that they had made a mistake and the dvd would be collected the next day by 5.30 pm so I took the day off work. 6.00pm and no collection - I rang Jungle again and after twenty minutes on hold was told it would be collected on Monday - no apology. I took the Monday off work - no collection. I rang Jungle yet again. The first woman I spoke to cut me off. The second woman transfered me to technical support who, unsurprisingly, couldn't help me. Finally I got through to someone who told me it would be collected on Friday. Friday - another day of sitting at home. Another call to Jungle, another twenty minutes on hold. By now it was the week before Christmas and they told me I'd have to wait a week. By this time I'd received my credit card and realised they had charged me £70 for the dvd. The following Friday (the fourth day off work) the dvd was finally collected, three weeks after it was delivered. It took almost another month (and many phone calls) for Jungle to refund my credit card. This was blamed on the "Christmas rush". My opinion is that Jungle have no idea of how to run a business. Their customer service was a joke: the impression I got was that they had my money and they just weren't interested in sorting out their mistake. Apart from one very apologetic Scottish gentleman, their telephone operators were curt and helpful. My advice would be to avoid Jungle. There are other similar, and better, retailers.
