If the spec is too good to be true... (Mesh Computers)

Advantages: Top class apecifications. Good prices.

Disadvantages: Has problems taking orders, keeping stock, no proactivity.

I've asked for a refund before even seeing the computer. The warning signs were all there: 1) great machine - almost too good - and you know what they say about "if it's too good to be true..."; 2) I placed the order online and got an order number - and then an email the next day saying my order had been refused - they're blaming the credit card company for a glitch in their software (you mean you'd get an order number before confirming the sale - no way, Mesh); 3) I paid for expedited delivery - 3-5 days. I confirmed the date two days before. On the day they ignored my email requesting confirmation so I had to call them - waiting 20 minutes - only to be told parts were missing (screen and graphic card). They asked me to call back the next day to check with them again (think about that!); 5) I called them back and was told they were hoping for the graphics card by the end of the week - heading for 10 days from order to delivery when I'd paid £50 extra for speed and taken a day off work. And, yes, note I called them, not them proactively updating me. That was enough, there's always just one more thing - so I cancelled the order. Well I hope I have. Having read other reviews I've already asked my credit card provider for a dispute form. I shouldn't need it, their Ts&Cs say so - but the form is not good.

The spec was great. I'm sure that if it had been delivered and worked first time (and most do) I'd have been happy. But if you can't make an order and have to chase them for updates, what on earth is gong to happen if you have a problem after you've paid and accepted delivery?

I wish zero stars were an option.
