Advantages: Quick delivery, helpful on the phone

Disadvantages: Poor communication of stock holdups

I have made multiple orders with Overclockers UK, and have never experienced any of the terrible service that others describe. Only on one occasion have I spoken to the OCUK customer service staff, and found them efficient and helpful. I had two orders combined, delivery rescheduled and even managed to get a better price on a component whose price had changed between order and delivery. That said, I would give one major warning...

NEVER BUY ANYTHING THAT OVERCLOCKERS MIGHT NOT HAVE IN STOCK. I would suggest avoiding anything that doesn't show as 10+ in stock. I bought a graphics card that supposedly was in stock (showed 3) which turned out not to be available. Not only this, but Overclockers didn't let me know, and it was only when I phoned 3 days after my next day delivery should have arrived that I was told one of the items on my order wasn't available and was holding up delivery.

In terms of after sales service, OCUK very quickly replaced a DVD drive that turned out to be faulty. From the day I posted them the drive (with the cheapest 2nd class delivery that I could get) to the day I had a new unit in my hands was not more than 4 days.

I would recommend OCUK to others, with the caveat that only well stocked items are ordered. Also I would recommend a customer is proactive if a delivery doesn't arrive, there is probably a holdup that Overclockers have not told you about.

Summary: If they have what you need for the cheapest price then go for it, but beware stock errors...
