Advantages: Price, service, fast delivery
Disadvantages: Not always stocking the exact model you want
*Customer Service*
Customer Service is an absolutely invaluable part of the Overclockers company, they have a landline which when you search on Saynoto0870.com can be used for technical/sales/aftersales (01782 339616). They answer the phone promptly and professionally and deal with every query or problem in brisk and well mannered way. You can also go to visit OCUK in person at there Staffordshire base, it has free parking and is accessible from the motorway. I personally have bought from OCUK many times in the past, primarily for PC components, as that is there speciality. I have never had a problem with them, and highly recommend both their service and quality.
*Product Range*
OCUK offer a huge range of products, primarily PC components as that was how they started. But now they sell full systems, laptops, gadgets as well as some software. The best section undoubtedly is Clearance Lines, this a bargain basement of some really high quality stuff - you never know what you may find! Now they won't always stock identical models to the likes of Amazon/eBuyer but don't let this put you off, what they stock is there because they rate it. If we take graphics cards as an example, the main chipsets these days are manufactured my Nvidia, and then different manufacuturers make cards using Nvidia chipsets, so you could get an NVidia 7600GS made by Inno3D, Asus, or OCUK themselves. They *should* all perform the same but because of build quality they don't so OCUK select the best brands of one particular card chipset, then price them up depending on the quality. So searching for "7600GS" would give you all the cards which have the 7600GS chipset.
*Delivery & After Sales*
Delivery is always fast, and if you are not at home then just make sure it's delivered to your workplace and you'll be fine, they use the standard couriers (Citylink I think). First orders always must be delivered to the cardholders billing address for security purposes, to get around this if you are at uni for example, buy the smallest item in the catalogue (usualling some power cables) and deliver it to the billing address, then place your larger order as your 2nd order which can be delivered anywhere you like!
After sales I have always found to be good, you can contact OCUK through the customer service number stated above.
I would recommend OCUK for all your computing needs.
Summary: Value for money and great service for all computing needs.

- 05/08/09 Yes that can happen, these days I believe it's automated and you get an email saying out of stock. But if you ring the landline no, get hold of one of the lads in the office they'll sort you out with a sub which is usually better and the original price if you're nice... |

- 05/08/09 I've bought the parts for three whole machines from OCUK and the service was pretty good. Had a bit of a niggle last time when I ordered something that was out of stock and they just kept it on the waiting list rather than letting me know. |
