Complained and got snide comments from a woman in their customer service department. Told her she was bad at her job and not to reply. She replied with more snide comments and I told her that was why she was bad at her job. She doesn't get that customer service are meant to smooth over problems and make the customer feel happier with ... Read the complete review

Having had the same PC for about 7 years and finally getting to the point where it was getting much too long in the tooth, and having saved for several months I finally decided the time had come to buy myself a new pc. I decided to buy from Overclockers as over the years I have bought various bits and pieces for my computer from ... Read the complete review

The Returns Dept. Lets down an otherwise good company. The sales staff are polite even if they do take an age to answear the phone (you are charged a premium while waiting). But the Staff in the returns Dept are rude and jobs worthy - fine if all goes OK and works but as this is not the case to ba avoided im my opinion

They use a premium charge phone number for their sales line. Says everything you really need to know about the contempt in which they hold their customers. Now you know why you will be put on endless hold if you are foolish enough to call them to buy something. Keeping you waiting might well be their biggest source of profit.

Purchased a gpu from ocuk which failed. Took them over two months to get me a replacement when they finally accepted it was faulty. I also received a motherboard which was damaged (dropped on one corner by the looks of it, box damage to match).... Their answer to this was "you damaged it, warranty void and £10+vat testing ... Ordered on a few occasions, dealt with customer service which is terrible. Returning items is a nightmare with costs involved eveywhere, had items sent that are not what was advertised. I have learnt my lesson and wont use again now, ebuyer will get my custom.

Overclockers seem to be ok at selling but terrible at support or honour their obligations under Sales of goods act, distance selling regulations, or warranty claims. Basically if you have any problems with faulty items expect a long drawn out fight to get it resolved. Expect the mother of all battles if it involves more than ... Read the complete review

I ordered my old PC from one of those dodgy "custom" pc websites, I ended up waiting for well over 5 months for the thing to arrive, this has never been the case with Overclockers. Regularly I muse their forum to discuss components, this has helped me many times when looking for new things to buy, it is because of my regular ... Read the complete review

I had to return a faulty motherboard a few weeks after purchasing it in August 2010. They have lied and played delaying tactics ever since - as well as being arrogant, unfriendly and unhelpful when you phone (for which they charge 10p a minute to play you hold music for 30 - 40 minutes each time) They confirmed it faulty a ... Using overclockers is a gamble and I have always known this. I was ok with putting up with the 40% chance of receiving a faulty item. Now I have decided to stop dealing with them because their customer service, their total shift to heavy duty online forms designed to make the customer do their work has now become a sham. Talking to their support team you can hear the thinly veiled contempt in their voices. My business spent 11k on equipment from them over the last three years. Yet, because I have not posted 200 comments on their forum I dont get free delivery. The 16 year old forum junkie gamer does. They wrongly believe that fanboys on their forum is a wonderful ad for the company, and yes they are praised highly on their forum, but some of us have lives. Is that worth losing me OKUK?

I've been a regular user of Overclockers now for what feels like 10 years not sure how long they have been around but feel like that long. I first ordered a barebones computer from them with all the components and found their service truely awesome. I placed my order then 2 days later everything arrived with no human contact. ... I recently purchased a wireless router from overclockers and I think the website is one of the most modern and easy to use at the moment. I could book in a delivery time and date with whichever shipping I wanted and it turned up when it said. The only trouble was that the shipping cost a fair bit compared to other places, but it was ... Read the complete review

Overclockers seem to come in for a lot of criticism and seem to have a very bad reputation on the web. However I have been a customer for several years and have never had any issues with them. OverClockers are just about the greatest joke the world of online stores has ever seen. They'll send you faulty goods, and when you send them back will tell you they're working. Not only that but they'll charge you £10 PLUS VAT PLUS £4 for SECOND CLASS postage to return it. Ordered a hard drive. Arrived faulty. Sent back, got ... Read the complete review

Awful customer service. My experience of trying to return items to ocuk is one of frustration. Initially they were evasive, then they turned my request down for a replacement without giving a proper explanation. I'm now having to put alot of time and effort into pursuing this via trading standards. There're a bunch of cowboy's...

Overclockers is a website that is dedicated to all things to do with computers. This website was suggested to me by my step-dad and the added bonus for us is that they are only just up the road. They sell pretty much anything you can think of to do with computers from processors, fans, memory to CDs and DVDs. They even ... Read the complete review
