I was very impressed by press reviews of a Magnum3500 and decided to go for it.
Credit card was charged in a flash but a lead time of 21 days announced due to "extreme popularity".
History so far is the PC is nowhere to be seen, lead delay has abundantly expired and Customer service keep promising a next day delivery (which doesn't happen) and put up all sort of excuses from missing cases to missing monitors to mixups of unknown sorts etc...
Quality of the service is very very poor, e mails go unanswered and phoning is basically useless, in fact there seems to be only one person answering the various lines. Despite the several automated options available, it is always the same one answering whichever the choice. Requested to speak to a manager but guess what? too busy to come to the phone.
Also requested a written due date confirmation but no luck, they simply don't do it.
In fact they are already in breach of regulations as they never sent any terms and conditions of sale and recess options.
I don't know if and when I will ever see the PC but if the start is anything to go by....................
I was interested in buying a Panrix Magnum 3700 BUT... Firstly, I couldn't customise the PC from their website so had to phone and state what I wanted. I received only the acknowledgement over the phone, no email, no nothing else. They were extremely quick to charge my credit card 'though! Like 1/2 hour! After 2 weeks I phoned again to be told that they didn't have any cases but they should arrive soon... After another week I phoned again to be told they had forgotten my CPU cooler but not to worry, it would be built soon. After another week I was told it was being built, expect it next Tuesday. The following Wednesday I was told it was being build. So I asked for my money back. Have not heard from them since then, and they still have my money. Unlucky, I guess.
i thought that panrix has definately changed from what it used to be. i think that panrix is brilliant and i have had my computer for quite some time now. it is reliable and not to mention all of the awards which they have won. i currently own a panrix nitro PC and i think that it is brilliant. their customer services help is very useful. i personally think that panrix is a brilliant company and their computers are amazing.
After stunning reviews by a PC mag ( which shall remain nameless) I spent £1300.00 on my first PC, it arrived quickly and was very easy to set up, nice easy instructions and good packaging. But Ive only had it just over a year and already its had 4 different motherboards attempted to be fitted and had windows reinstalled 3 times and had to be returned to base even though its within its ON SITE warranty because it couldnt be repaired on site?? Despite the first engineer agreeing that there seemed to be a problem on the hard drive, the PC came back with another new motherboard and little else, did i mention the DVD drive also died? and then the mouse? well you probably get the picture. As its my first PC I'm not sure how frequently problems should develop but I dont think that this is acceptable, the phone service helpline is atrocious, and thats just getting through. In my many calls i have encountered a couple of very helpful people but it seems thay are too few and far between. Panrix have admitted that they were victims of their own success, I think that they are wrong - we customers with inadequate systems are the victims. Several files have disappeared or altered over time (yes ive checked the sysytem for viruses with two different programs) and almost killed it when i tried to use Nortons Crashguard! I think that the PC mags may test a system very well but unless they keep that pc for a year then they cannot give any indication as to its reliability or durability, best to check out this site when its time to but my next PC.
i believe in giving a company a fair try, espcially when they offer what looks like a good syetm at a very low price. Well Panrix did just this about 18 months ago and I took advantage of it. I can not remember the model but it was a well specked model reviewed in Computer shopper. Well I ordered the machine and waited happily for the 3 day delivery to arrive. With the day duely booked of work and with eager anticipation the day wore on, and on. No delivery. No worries I thought I will have a go at the courriers as they must be running late. well next day I phoned, no they were not late there were no deliveries for me. After trying to get through to Panrix for 4 days I managed to speask to eight different sales reps. They all Promised delivery the next day. It took two more weeks to get a system, and then it was the wrong one, every thing was of a lower speck. WEll thank goodness i paid on good old barclay card. They took it up with Panrix. The system was duely sent back and I got £150 in compensation. I will never buy a complete system again, stick to build your own.
