Advantages: lots and lots of phone calls to make so you dont get lonely

Disadvantages: not good aftersales customer service

its true that sales staff are friendly and helpfull. unless you want your money back that is! i have now been given 2 laptops with exactly the same fault and pc world are steadfastly refusing to issue a refund even though i have not had a working laptop for 24hours straight. they have had the newest exchange for 3 days now and have informed me i can either have ANOTHER exchange or wait for this one to be repaired. i had the computer for a whopping 4 hours before returning it the very same day. i now feel as though i have no choice but to contact trading standards and seek legal representation.

Summary: they will take your money and your goods and leave you with nothing but a headache

"Sale of Goods Act" and "Trading Standards", all you have to do is mention these phrases. Also if you bought it with a Credit Card, you get 30 days insurance.

I'm not convinced that having a broken laptop for 24 hours is much to complain about as these matters do take time to get resolved, however if you have indeed been sold a faulty product, PC World is bang out of order for refusing to give you a refund. Citizens' Advice Bureau could be very helpful people for you to talk with.
